Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (NAEGE) who is a subsidiary of Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) was established to serve as a platform for meeting of all Engineering Geologist and to standardize the qualifications of practicing persons in the profession all of Nigeria.

Engineering Geology is the science that deals with subsurface investigation, evaluation of engineering and environmental problems which may arise due to interaction between geology and activities of man. It also helps to predict and develop measures to prevent or mitigate geological hazards on earth.

NAEGE is being coordinated by elected excos and open to register new qualified Nigerians into the association.
