About Journal of Engineering Geology and Environmental Research (JEGER)
Journal of Engineering Geology and Environmental Research (JEGER) is a peer reviewed journal published by the Nigerian Association of Engineering Geology and the Environment (NAEGE). NAEGE is a specialist group of the Nigeria Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) and an affiliate of the International Association of Engineering Geology (IAEG).
JEGER aims to gather information in relation to the fields of environmental and engineering geology and publish papers at the forefront of current and developing issues shaping the landscape of these disciplines. It is a comprehensive geological and geotechnical engineering portfolio capturing the dialogue between academic and industry research-partners. In addition, the journal seeks to be representative of a variety of scientific methods in proffering solutions to environmental problems and emphasises an interdisciplinary approach, cognisant of a dynamic interface between geology, civil engineering and the environment.
The scope of this journal includes investigation, study, and solution of engineering and environmental problems which may arise as the result of the interaction between geology and the works or activities of man, as well as of the prediction of and development of measures for the prevention or remediation of geological hazards. The journal therefore, welcomes novel research works that promote and describe the procedures that help the scientists, and other research communities to enrich their knowledge related to the published subject. JEGER also accepts original research works and reviews which keep the readers updated with advances in relevant fields.
Mode of operation, policies and guidelines, information to authors
The Journal of Engineering Geology and Environmental Research (JEGER) publishes high quality, peer-reviewed scientific papers. It is devoted primarily to research papers and short communications relating to new developments of broad interest, reviews and book reviews may also be considered.
